Character Matters
self

Posted on 10/16/2004 3:01:00 PM PDT by J Todd

I just completed the book written by Ronal Kessler titled "A Matter of Character" and I remain very comfortable in the belief President Bush will be re-elected. I recommend everyone read this soley because the insight into the White House, President Bush, and his team is amazing. The comparsion of President Bush's White House to Carter and Clinton serves as a true notice of character. I was appalled to read how these two former Democratic Presidents acted outside of the public eye. It is not always about polls and being popular, it is about being a leader of true character with a transparant spirit of courage, vision, and dedication to all citizens of the United States of America. His agenda is and has been the protection of all us and the bettermint of every child, adult, and senior citizen.

Thanks for the recommendation. It sounds like a good book to read, and we definitely don't get a sense of President Bush's integrity and character from most of the media.

Many of us had heard about some of the things which went on at least on Clinton's part, out of the public eye, and have known for a long time that Carter was not the man of principle he was made out to be, and of course we had the post 2000 election revelations as to the type of people Clinton had with him in the WH, and we were all glad that the adults were back in charge.

FOUR MORE YEARS!!!

I don't remember who it was that I was watching on cable, I believe it was on Hardball, but this guy said that he believes that President Bush's character and the fact that Kerry hasn't closed the deal with the american people (they don't trust him) will win the election for President Bush. He said that regardless of anything else, the people will realize that they really don't trust Kerry, and that they believe Bush's morals and values more closely relate to their own and that will be the deciding factor, regardless of what the polls may show. Chrissy Matthews of course hated hearing it, which made me love it even more. The guy ( I wish I could remember his name) said that Bush connects with people and Kerry does not. Later I saw O'Donnell on spouting off again about Bush's faith in God, he was such a jerk that I believe Dems with the same religious beliefs as Bush just might vote for him because they are fearful of O'Donnell's views, and since he openly supports Kerry, could have lost him some support.

I second your recommendation -- "A Matter of Character" is a MUST read!

[BTW: In addition to validating the obvious integrity of President George W Bush, it also underscores the profound LACK of integrity exhibited by Carter and both Clintons -- the latter three presidents/co-presidents were despised by the Whitehouse staff AND the Secret Service!]
