The best reason to be skeptical that John Kerry has the gumption to defend America's vital interests and allies is not that he has been all over the map about this current war in Iraq. Although such erratic behavior is unpresidential, Kerry's unwillingness to support military action in 1991 against Saddam Hussein after Iraq had invaded and raped neighboring Kuwait is the best reason to question his judgment. The lesson of history -- Kerry's Senate vote against the first Iraq war that hindsight shows to be a reasonable and necessary conflict -- makes his claim that he would be willing to use force ring most hollow.

The President keeps focusing on Kerry's vote on the $87 billion--which some are tiring of hearing. The Gulf War vote was much more profound and much more telling!!! Since the liberal MSM won't focus on that vote--it's up to the President to keep that question on the table--until Kerry answers it,,,or until election day.
I agree.
Examine Kerry's tortured postwar defense of his vote:

Kerry said in that TORTURED defense of his vote, "There is not a right and a wrong here."
SAY WHAT?
He also said, "As many said at that point in time, the regret is that we will never know the answer as to whether or not there might have been some other alternative to war for achieving the outcome upon which we all agreed. We will never have that answer, Mr. President."
Once again, SAY WHAT?????
He is even more incredibly stupid, naive and clueless than I ever imagined!! His unbelievable, appeasing statements need to be highlighted and repeated to the public.
And this as well: "Nothing gives me more pride or more emotion than to watch these homecomings of victorious troops, homecomings which members of my generation who fought in Vietnam were never afforded and never had the pleasure of experiencing."
One of the great tragedies of the Vietnam War--was the way that our soldiers were treated when they returned from serving their country.
They were treated horribly--many were spat upon--thanks to people like John Kerry and the statements he made about them!
HAS HE NO SHAME??
It all comes down to Kerry has more "goodies" than Bush for the sloths among us. They could care less as long their checks are there on the 3rd.
