Yeah. I thought "Contact" was about the WORST film ever, in every way possible. It was amoral -- come on, a man of the cloth (Matthew McConahay) who immediately hops in the sack with the leading gal (Jody Foster) with nary a pause or thought of repentance or regret? The whole story was bleak, and absolutely unconstructive. It was also boring. I remember a clever headline spoofing the classic "Alien" on a review panning "Contact." It read: "In space, nobody can year you snore."
Explain ... "Alien" had the line, "In space, nobody can hear you scream." So "...nobody can hear you snore" was pretty funny for Contact ... er, oh well. Guess you had to be there.
