The crime? John Kerry in the final presidential debate suggested that we are all God's children and used Mary Cheney as an example of a healthy gay person loved by her family. Okay, so is Elizabeth Edwards a healty obese person loved by her family? Is Albert Gore, Jr., a drug and alcohol abuser loved by his family? Is Ted Kennedy a drunk womanizer loved by his family? Is Bill Clinton a rapist loved by his family? The list goes on.... What a joke. The more the liberals try to spin this, the worse they look. I don't think any of their explanations can undo the immediate visceral response of most viewers to Kerry's patronizing, homophobe pandering smear.

I love it! The Democrats have started their game of "You didn't really see and hear what you really saw and heard" game. These people are so predictable, it's almost laughable. They always follow it up with their, "Okay, so you did see and hear what you know you saw and heard, but it's no big deal" game.
This is a case however, where the more they talk, the deeper a hole they dig themselves.

When Vice President Cheney spoke in Iowa in August this year
Cheney speaks in Davenport Iowa
he volunteered the fact that he has a lesbian daughter in his speech. Clearly Vice President Cheney does not equate being gay with being obese, a wino, a drug abuser, a womanizer, a rapist, etc. As a person with gay friends, neither do I.
I think harping on Kerry's reference to the fact that the Vice President's daughter is gay is not helping President Bush. We need to keep pointing out Kerry's liberal record and intention to reduce the issue of terrorism to a nuisance.
