Considering the Democrats are the party who claimed that Clinton's sex life was private, it is the height of hypocrisy for them to now declare that the sexuality of the Vice President's daughter (who is not a public figure) is fair game.

exactly... Not only that Mary Cheney has a certian expectation to privacy. Even though she did do some campaigning. What the democrats don't seem to understand or if they do understand they are wilfully disregarding the fact. You cannot just use a private citizen as a tool of a political campagin.
1.) It violates their expectation of privacy
2.) The campagin can be held libel if an attack were to happen to Mary Cheney and it was tied back to the fact that she was mentioned. \
3.) This was an act that was desgined to try to get the hard right to change their vote.

It is deplorable dispicable and wrong.

Just because someone has choosen to reveal who they are does not mean that any group can use their name or likeness to promote their agenda. The log cabin republicans got in trouble for trying to do something similar with another openly gay politican.
