Lee Corso on College Game Day on ESPN was joking about he and Pete Carroll(USC coach) being AARP members. Chris Fowler asked Corso if he stopped by the Vegas convention this week. Corso said, "No, he wrong guy was speaking" Kirk Herbstreit game him a high 5. It was classic!
I love it. These are not girly men.
The wrong guy, not He wrong guy. Sorry about the typo. First post in many moons.
Hahaha, that's great, I missed it.
It is little things like this that could mean thousands of votes going to Bush.
I am pleased that this happened on live TV.
Wow. So Corso isn't a total goober after all. </ Tennessee fan>
Corso is from Florida and Herbstriet is from Ohio.
here's hoping they speak for the majority of voters in their states!
I've always liked Corso..
Most of these sports goober analysts on TV have no idea what they are talking about.. The man is a college football genius and he knows what he's talking about and he relates to the audience in an entertaining manner.
You get these ex-coaches and ex-players all the time on these.. 90% of them are complete dopes and don't belong there. I don't like Herbstreit that much, he seems like a bunch of hot air to me.. But I rate Corso among the best of all sports pre-game analysts. (Second to Jaworski on NFL Matchup).
Best three pre-game sports shows out there are College Gameday, Fox NFL Sunday, and Edge NFL Matchup.
No, he is still a goober... just one that is right this time. (Blind hog and all that... Go Vols)
He ALWAYS picks Florida over UT, though. At least, whenever I see him he does. You should have heard the booing a few years back when he put on the Gator hat on Game Day when they were doing the show in Knoxville. Then he laughed at us. Then we lost. ><
But yeah, he gets some props for this. :)
LOL!
Hahaha but he's usually right isn't he??
Most guys would just pander everytime to the home crowd.. Not him.
I agree on the "goober." Go Vols, Beat Ole Miss!
Are you my husband posing as "Josh in PA"? You sound just like him ....loves his sports!
Corso was always a much better announcer than he was a coach.
watch it buddy! Actually I am trying to sell my tickets. Too late for me.
I'm sorry I missed that. Its a little balance to the subtle and not so subtle liberalism expressed by many others on the network.
I remember one morning on that awful, train-wreck of a morning show they have called Cold Pizza, on that ticker at the bottom of the screen promoted the release of David Brock's hit piece on the Right. I doubt it if they did the same for latest Ann Coulter book.
Roger that. He was the Coach at my alma matter Indiana University and all I can say is that as a coach he makes a good commentator. He was the exact opposite of Bobby Knight - great PR guy, horrible coach.
