He served a total of 3Y18D overall. He got out to run for congress. I wonder if I could have done the same? I was in VN too.
This clown has everything on the line, now that MA knows he's not Irish he's dead meat up here. So if he is not in office the pickle (or raisin/gin) queen is going to drop him like a rock.
Kerry is anything but patriotic.

Uh huh.. And he scammed his way out after minor band-aid type wounds.
What a worthless POS. Definitely worse than Sleaseball #42; and that's saying something.

And I've had worse wounds happen to me while slipping on ice in my driveway. B-P Cut my hand open on the side of the garage, got infected and wound up in hospital for 5 days.

Yeah, I read something on here about America's most decorated Vietnam vet, CMH winner, Col. Bud Day, calling Kerry America's Benedict Arnold. That draft dodger stuff is not gonna fly there.

Four months? After OCS he was on board another type of ship. He saw the swift boats, requested a transfer, went back for the training and returned to VN and received combat missions. If the length of a tour in a combat zone determines whether one deserves respect then I wonder about the infantry replacements who were KIA on their first patrol or the inexperienced pilots who took a heat seeking missile up the tailpipe on his second mission. By your standards, these guys were worthy only of your disdainful "wow."
Some on this site speak as though they assume their own bravery when the bullets are whizzing by and the fog of combat is a fearful feeling. Yet, unless you've been there your comments are worthless s**t.
