Kerry slams 'refusal to serve' "For the past week, they attacked my patriotism and my fitness to serve as commander in chief ... well, here's my answer," Senator Kerry said in Ohio. "I'm not going to have my commitment to defend this country questioned by those who refused to serve when they could have and by those who have misled the nation into Iraq. "Let me tell you in no uncertain terms what makes someone unfit for office and unfit for duty. Misleading our nation into war in Iraq makes you unfit to lead our country. "Doing nothing while this nation loses millions of jobs makes you unfit to lead this country. Letting 45 million Americans go without health care for four years makes you unfit to lead this country. "Letting the Saudi royal family control the price of oil for Americans makes you unfit to lead this country." Mr Bush spent the Vietnam War in the Texas Air National Guard, and had faced accusations that even then he was absent without leave for long periods. Mr Cheney received five deferments and once explained that he had "other priorities".

NEW YORK: Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry declared he had taken enough "incoming" yesterday and blasted back at his Republican antagonists by suggesting George W. Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney were draft dodgers.
In his toughest counter-punch of the campaign, the decorated war hero said he was not going to have his military qualifications questioned by "those who refused to serve" in the Vietnam War.

Meltdown in Kerry's core has commenced.
[no...I don't know what it means either]...:))
He failed to beat Bush in the debates and there are only 2 weeks left. The Republicans are flooding the battleground states with just as many lawyers as the democrats have. The crooked voter "registration drive" is exposed. The attempted intimidations at Republican campaign offices have failed as well, in spite of the bullets and broken bones. Dan Rather screwed up and got caught lying about Bush's Guard record. Halperin got caught in a virtual admission that his network is part of the kerry campaign. The Swift Vets and Sinclair are breathing down kerry's neck. This is not how things were supposed to play out for them.
BTTT!!!!!!!
Thanks, Old Faithful! I am so ticked off at Kerry! The nerve of him discounting the vets like that!
I hope he fell on his butt!
Just two weeks left to go and kerry knows he's got a very steep uphill climb ahead of him.
I think this will hurt him. It shows how mean-spirited and unbalanced he is.
We just saw a report on TV where he was saying he'd pull all civilian contractors out of Iraq, too. Yeah, that's going to help him. What an idiot. He doesn't have a clue.
But I'm sure he'll replace them with french contractors.
Ok. I served. And in some ways still do.
Hey, Kerry, I question your patriotism, your fidelity to the country and your manhood.
Freepmail me and we can set up a man to man meeting to discuss it.
I bet he'll replace them with nothing.
To make himself look "good" for any length of time he has to make W look "bad" forever.
A chaotic Iraq would then be W's legacy rather than kerry's.
Remember, he's pledged to bring America's "children" home.
Wouldn't that be too one sided, since you'd be the only man there? LOL
But W always takes the "high road".
Sometimes I wish he wouldn't.
yup,, just like I told a few people yesterday,, you watch, mark my word, Kerry is going to have his ( DEAN ) moment soon, maybe the week before the election AAAAAAAAAAgggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Oh, man, did you hear about those papers Bush National Guard papers that Dan Rather has? ROFL
Kerry's bluff will be called if he says their forgeries.
Notice the limited range of motion due to the horrible shrapnel wounds to his legs. Poor guy.
