I'm not surprised at most of these foundations supporting extremism, especially the Ford Foundation.
I wonder how long the Malcolm X group has been active? The original Malcolm X (born Malcolm Little in Nebraska) joined the mass immigration of Blacks into the cities, moving to Harlem. While serving prison time, he came under the influence of the Nation of Islam (Black Muslims) which is when he "renounced his slave name" and became Malcolm X.
After a pilgrimage to Mecca, he returned to the USA and formed the Organization for Afro-American Unity (a less radical group). In 1965, two Black Muslims were arrested for his murder after he was found dead in a Mosque.
A friend of mine emailed the webmaster of http://www.aztlan.net basically telling them they were misinformed, hateful, and in conflict with many of their own politics. The following is part of the response my friend got back:
