Of course, Sitetest could be made Cardinal without ordination. McCarrick should retire soon, anyway.

We would expect Sitetest to immediately establish the Tomas Torquemada Gentlemen's Club as an adjunct and fully-funded Archdiocesan office, and direct us to begin operations in the Washington, DC area.

Ah, but if I were created a cardinal without being consecrated a bishop, I could not be Ordinary of the See. I would have no jurisdiction, no priestly or episcopal authority.

But I could vote for pope for another 36 years!

On the other hand, were I somehow to be consecrated, and become Ordinary of the Archdiocese of Washington, then we would have to lay in a significant supply of kerosene. ;-)
