There he goes again: Sen. John Kerry apparently thinks the American people are so stupid and uninformed that they'll blame President Bush for Democrats' effort to renew the military draft.
Then again, Kerry's campaign of deceit has been working, according to a recent poll.
The Des Moines Register today quoted Kerry as claiming, "With George Bush, the plan for Iraq is more of the same and the great potential of a draft."
In reality, as NewsMax's Insider Report noted last week, it's Kerry's own party that has been trying to do that.
When will Kerry tell fellow Democrats Charlie Rangel and lame duck Fritz Hollings to stop their sleaze?
And why was Bush too wimpy during the debates to ask the same question? When the issue was raised all he did was sputter and deny without bothering to point out the facts.
Bush-Cheney campaign spokesman Steve Schmidt did point out today that Kerry's latest "fear-mongering" claim showed "that he is a candidate willing to do or say anything to score political points."
Has anybody pointed out that Kerry supporters must be uneducated, gullible and easily-led? Oh, and Kerry says they all look like they're poor too.
lemme see if I get this straight
my party proposed reinstating the draft, your party opposes it
two members of my party voted for it while all of your party voted against it
and you think that if you elect MY party that it wont' happen?????
and don't forget, Charley Rangel voted for the draft before he voted against it
Kerry Blames Bush for Democrats' Scheme to Revive Draft
I was looking for this response PDF. Circulate them in your area:

Wasn't the bill from the desk of Charley "Rump" Rangel, a Demonrat?
Excerpts:
The bills are not being pushed. It's quite true that the two bills mentioned would require both men and women aged 18 through 25 to perform a two-year period of "national service," which incidentally could be either military or non-military service. But the bills are sponsored only by Democrats, and there's not the slightest evidence that the Bush administration is pushing for them, quietly or otherwise.
One bill is HR 163 , whose principle sponsor is Democratic Rep. Charles Rangel of New York. It has 14 co-sponsors, all of them Democrats in a Congress controlled by Republicans. The bill was dead on arrival: it sits in a House subcommittee with no hearings or votes scheduled and no action expected.
In fact, Rangel told FactCheck.org through his spokesman Emile Milne that even he isn't pushing for passage, let alone Bush (emphasis added):
Rep. Rangel: I'm not pushing this bill . It's up to the President to come to me when he needs it.
The identical Senate bill, S. 89 , introduced by Democratic Sen. Ernest Hollings, and also was DOA. Not one other senator has co-sponsored it. It also sits in committee with no action scheduled or expected.
Both bills in question were drawn up before the Iraq war started, mostly to make a political point. Rangel said he acted to highlight Democratic objections to use of military force against Saddam Hussein. He wrote , "I truly believe that decision-makers who support war would more readily feel the pain of conflict and appreciate the sacrifice of those on the front lines if their children were there, too."
Thanks for the details..Kerry is morphing into Pinocchio..
Ah it seems I missed it by about 2 minutes. I didn't see it posted though when I did the search.
Yes it was. I remember when he was on Hannity and Colmes on December 30, 2002 and said he was going to introduce the bill on January 7, 2003
I have no respect for Kerry, and absolutely no respect for anyone who would vote for him!
