Local radio station (KOGO) just reported pilot was alive when transported to the hospital. No further information.

Prayers!
Pilot's name is Sean Durocher. It was a very small plane. THE FIRST ONE UP! Can you imagine. They are going to continue the airshow this afternoon. No word on the condition of the pilot who was airlifted to a hospital.
The pilot has died.
Prayers.
High Flight
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
Pilot Officer Gillespie Magee
No 412 squadron, RCAF
Killed 11 December 1941
The pilot, identified as Sean deRosier of Nut Tree, Calif., was taken off the tarmac via a Yuma Search and Rescue helicopter to Scripps Memorial Hospital. According to reports, deRosier died at the hospital from his injuries.
After a moment of silence, Brig. Gen. Carl B. Jensen, commanding general of western Marine air bases, said the show would go on.

Rest in Peace.
The first plane... what a tragedy. I guess they've continued the show - they're streaking over my house now. They say it is what the pilot would've wanted... I really wanted to go this weekend but I've been under the weather, and well, I can see (hear) a lot of it from here.
One out of 30 air show performers dies each season.
It is one of the most dangerous professions on the planet.

Sean deRosier
Rescue workers place Sean deRoiser onto a Yuma Search and Rescue helicopter. DeRosier was flown to Scripps Memorial hospital where he was declared dead.
Sending prayers to his family.
You are normally very close to the ground when you crash. (Sorry, just couldn't help myself on that one.)
