U.S., Iraqi forces establish checkpoints in Falluja

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- As part of new security operations around Falluja, Iraqi special forces and U.S. Marines have set up vehicle checkpoints in and around the volatile city, a U.S. military statement said Friday.

It must take huge Caonies to work a vehicle check point in Iraq, I would be tempted to unload my weapon then ask them to step out of the car. But I guess that is why they are trained and brave and I am here typing on a computer.

"This puts the anti-Iraq forces in Falluja on notice," it said." We couldn't go into Fallujah until the populace understood that the terrorists were "anti-Iraq", not "anti-American", forces. That, and the fact we needed to get sufficient Iraqi Security Forces recruited, equipped and trained to be involved in the mission.
