Thanks for the info. I didn't know that.

Cheney's my man! I proudly voted for him twice to represent me in Congress and am looking forward to voting for him a second time to be my VP.

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Sorry; can't "tolerate" his non sequitur marrige position. (John Kerry seems to have a thing for his daughter Mary, though.)

Rudi-Condi has a nice ring to it and "looks like America".

How liberal of you. (Liberals for strong national defense and law & order are still liberals.) I would vote for Colin Powell over Rudy Giuliani --and McCain over Powell. Wait! I need to wake up from this nightmare and go to bed.

You're right, I'm settling for what's possible. But my dream ticket of George Washington and Calvin Coolidge isn't available any more.

"I love Condi, but I think she has to hold some sort of elected office before she can run. Is this true anyone?"

Technically, no. It's not constitutionally required.

Practiacally speaking, you need to have either:
A) Won a major war
B) Served as governor of a state
C) Been in the senate

There aren't a hell of a lot of exceptions to this. People just won't take you seriously as a presidential candidate if you haven't done any of those.
