To the people of the United States of America, I am confused now, and here is the reason: President George W. Bush's reaction to the Oct. 6 final report compiled by the U.S.-led team of inspectors on their search for weapons of mass destruction (WMD) allegedly held by the regime of Saddam Hussein

Your folks just have to think further than the current headline.
If you look at what we are doing worldwide, you will see the wider picture.
Freedom must be paid for.
Freedom leads to peace.
Peace leads to opportunity.
Opportunity leads to prosperity.
Prosperity leads to enlightenment.
Enlightenment leads to God.

My sister-in-law lives in Japan, on a tea farm. She brought me a japanese magazine that would be the equivalent of our Woman's Day or Ladies Home Journal. It was interesting. Obviously couldn't "read" most of it, but most of the ads contained a few words in english. Guess that made the items more desirable to the typical homemaker in Japan,

The one that I'll never forget was an ad for a bra. In English, it was proclaimed as the "Good Up Bra".

That, and Bill Murray's Lost in Translation says it all. (Especially the strip club scene)

We will never understand them, they will never understand us. They aren't voting for our president, we are.

President Bush's allegation that Iraq had WMD stockpiles was the main pillar of justification for his decision to go to war in Iraq.

Dear Mr. Wada: I speak no Japanese whatsoever,so please don't take the following as a gratuitous criticism. You may want to find some neutral translator to convey the subtleties of English; evidently, you had the President's words translated by an American "progressive". This led you to a fatal linguistic error: your basic premise is wrong, so everything that follows is also wrong.
There is no way to tell if the "... that Iraq had WMD stockpiles was the main pillar of justification for his decision to go to war in Iraq. is your conclusion or the "progressive's", but in English we call that a personal inference, similar to an opinion, and equally prone to error, depending on the political inclinations of the reader.

Thus, your entire article is false, since the "main pillar" you initially describe is no such thing. If you need more accurate translations of our President's speech, including all of the reasons he listed for going to Iraq (all equally valid), just let me or anyone at Free Republic know. Many of us would be quite pleased to help. Sorry you have wasted your time.
