Kerry Supporters Few In Mid-Michigan Town

(TV5) Vassar-- This time of year the talk of the town in Vassar is usually the upcoming pumpkin roll. But judging from the yard signs that line the road as you drive into town, pumpkins have been replaced by politics.
The latest buzz is the new Kerry-Edwards campaign headquarters that has opened up downtown. In a city that is largely Republican; many Vassar residents are not taking to it very well.
At Betty Lous Restaurant TV5 was able to find only one Kerry supporter. Lyla Fabro says it is time for a change but admits being outnumbered in the conservative town. Sitting next to Fabro was a table filled with Bush supporters who said they have no interest in the Kerry campaign or the new office.
WNEM-TV5 put in several calls to state and local Democratic Party officials, including the Chairman of the Tuscola County Democratic Party, but no one was available for comment.
I wonder about Midland. I remember when AuH2O got 99% of the votes there...
Maybe they didn't hear Edward's speech yet claiming Kerry would heal the cripple and the sick with his amazing powers.
Ha ha
Leave it to the crat brats to push in where they aren't wanted.
I love rural Michigan.
Wayne county will make or break Bush, just as it did in 2000.
2000 Results by county are here, but look at Wayne County.
2000 Presidential Results: Wayne County
Total Vote: 768,417
George Bush: 223,021
Al Gore: 530,414
Al Gore won Michigan 2,170,418 to 1,953,139. Gore got 1/4 of his total from Wayne County alone.
If I were advising Bush, I'd tell him to hit Wayne County over and over, and skip Grand Rapid, Traverse City, and Marquette. The votes are in Wayne!
You guys have to do in Wayne County what Rudy did in NYC, put a lawyer in every precinct, and have a flying squad to back him up, keeps the rats in line.
I miss Dingell...redistricting has me in the 13th, sheesh..
