Something like that!
And the Nightline crew found these "peasants" as a result of the coordinates on the after action report!
Now I have a question. Those channels and hamlets are unchanged after 35 years? and the people were only shot at by Swift Bosts once in the whole War? and the woman has told no one of the weapons in her garden for 35 years but she gave them up to a Nightline producer.
And one more question
Hasn't this story about the Mekong River delta woman, the dead husband and the buried weapons been on television before. I swear I was having deja vu watching it tonight.
anyone know if Kerry wrote the after action report for this incident?
You make an excellent point. Are the Vietnamese even allowed to have guns? She's kept them hidden in her garden for 35 years, but as soon as an American film crew shows up she blabs it to the world??
Which means that subsequent to the interview the old woman and all the villagers were shot by the current government for keeping this cache. Way to go ABC!
(ABC disclaimer: No peasants were harmed in the making of this interview. Everything was cut from whole-cloth and all 'peasants' were dues paying members of the PRV actor's union.)
