Pamela Day may represent a first for ``Apprentice'' contestants who have been pink-slipped.
She's grateful she was fired by Donald Trump.
``I think it was the greatest thing to ever happen,'' she said. ``Because people who were watching the show and saw what I'm all about were so outraged. So I've become this very memorable character, and it's become like me vs. this pack of wild women, and I'm the one woman that America identifies with, and they hate the other ones.''
(For the record, she doesn't - they're all ``good friends'' now).
The New Jersey native, who was an early favorite for her no-nonsense demeanor, got the ax after she was transferred to the all-female team Apex and was beaten by the male team on a task selling products on QVC.
Although the women sold far more units of their lower-priced cleaning sponge, the men bested their total dollar figure by a measly $11.
``I was so arrogant at the time that I really was truly shocked that I was fired,'' Day said of her boardroom experience. ``I thought that I performed so well that I didn't see myself as vulnerable, and that's just foolish.''
Vindication has come in the form of letters and passers-by crying foul over the firing, which followed on the heels of other dismissals for nontask related issues, such as Stacie J.'s alleged insanity.
``I walk down the streets of New York, and these women come running after me, saying, `This is horrible,' like there was this great injustice in the world,'' the 32-year-old investment firm owner said with a hearty laugh. ``I think, `Don't cry for me, Argentina.' You know, there are people starving. We should be angry with other things.''
We may have not seen the last of Day.
``They do a very good job of inserting a lot of twists and turns and resurrections, and it keeps the show extremely interesting throughout the whole season,'' she said.
As for her post-``Apprentice'' life, Day is happy to return to her investment firm Crimson Holdings and is fielding television offers.
``I'm not an actress, I'm a businesswoman. If I'm a businesswoman that in some way can be entertaining to people, fantastic. If not, great. I'll just go back to being a businesswoman. That's fine by me, too.''
But as glad as she is to be gone, she's not letting Trump off the hook.
``When I saw Donald last night, he said, `Pamela, I'm getting a lot of flack for this. A lot of people think I made the wrong decision.' And I thought, `Good!' ''
Who?
Don't forget everyone, a new Apprentice tonight.
I can't wait to see more of those women leave. Especially that dwarf Stacy. I was really much more impressed with the last episode's crop of women. You can catch them here in lingerie if you dare :)

Me too!
Wow, those are hot!
Trump made a big mistake...he should have fired that little troublemaker lawyer....
Measly? She LOST.
"Pamela should have had her own copy of Gorelick's book "Destruction of Evidence".
We both do. Now we will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, be fired again by anyone."
Especially Stacy, the loudest wailer. She is obviously very intelligent but can't keep her mouth shut and talks faster than Senator Dayton can run away from Washington DC.

I liked Pamela, too. Now that she's gone, the only woman left who think has any chance of winning is Jennifer M. She has wisely managed to stay out of the giant catfight that her team is constantly in.
But she was very crude and crass with her 'f' this and 'f' that on the bus...i agree...she needed a personality to be honest...
I missed last week's episode. As for her claims of being a memorable character, well, I don't remember her.
Is 'that dwarf Stacey' the one with the glasses? I can't stand her! She's like a Jewish version of Omarosa.
Oh, now I remember her! I'm glad her ass got fired.
Trump is insufferable and so's his female sidekick.
I stopped watching the Apprentice, after Donald went on Sean's show and starting bashing Bush, I can find something else to watch besides Mr. Hair
No kidding - that little snit needs to go and soon. I thought Trump's remarks about her failure in "assessing" their skills was way off the mark - yeah, time to do that, Hair-Boy, while she's riding in the bus? And they way they ganged up on Stacie J - musta missed the part of the show early on where they enumerated their psychological credentials.
And am I the only one who's gonna bitch-slap the next one who uses the phrase "skill set?!"
