The problems with voting machines not producing verifiably hardcopy is a real problem, and not just the demented musings of a bunch of socialists in france.

There are a lot of people concerned about this. I am and have been speaking out against them since I first found out that anyone would be naive enough to actually use them in elections. Computers are far too easily subverted in massive and unverifiable ways for a printed record not to be kept.
