How in the world does anyone show up at the wrong polling place? I do very little research on this and I live in an area with plenty of polling locations, yet I have never shown up at the wrong location. How does someone get this confused?

Years ago when I moved to where I live now .. I learned that went to the wrong polling place because my name was not in the book .. I was then directed to the correct one that was located 2 blocks away

Why poll workers in Ohio can't do this is beyond me

Hey..I've showed up at the wrong place before -- BUT they were (voter volunteer people) were always kind and nice to tell me where to go which was usually down the FRICKIN street.

There is no excuse for this ruling. If some one has moved and not registered to vote in their current address, you still have the right to vote in your old precinct which I've done before --- but your name is on the damn ledger so you only vote once.

If you've straightened out your voter regsitration and go to the wrong place, you get back in your car and drive to the right one.. How difficult can this be? We're talking blocks away, not miles and miles away. Unless you've moved far far away and in that case you are an idiot to do absentee voting.

The thing that really pisses me off is that I actually was "given" the chance to vote in Florida - b/c they still had me registered even thou I sold my house and moved to KY. I got something in the mail to vote absentee in Florida. I even got a call from the Orlando Sentinel doing a story on voters that live in two states and how they pick which state to vote in etc etc.

I also am NOT registered Republican so they probably thought I was a swing voter. I even have political mail for local Orlando races getting mailed to my new address. I suspect a lot of this voter registration crap is fraudulent and the dems let the rules slip when they think it will favor them.

Comments?
