To: Tolerance Sucks Rocks
This article is laoded with scare tactics that don't pass the smell test. I didn't even bother reading after they posted their "example" of a home purchase which would have the NRST as an additional payment on an existing price -- completely ignoring that a major portion of that existing price is the result of federal taxes eliminated by the NRST. The net price for the house would be about the same, because the NRST is a replacement tax, not an additional one.

I liked their candybar example but they didn't actually do any numbers on it.

How many candybars are sold in this country a year? Is 1 billion (for all brands) too many for a country of some 280 million? At .23 or .30 cents for each, quite a bit of money from just candybars is going to the fed.
