This must be yet another example of Kerry's "uniting not dividing". This is almost communist thinking-"workers of the world unite" and such. An international class of "the workers",aginst the "bourgeoisie".No national pride,no patriotism, just class warfare.
Last night, I received ten names and addresses from the the Guardian by using numerous email addresses. I will be sending these people a copy of this article and telling them that this British newspaper gave me their personal information.
Reading and bookmarking your site.
F'off. This is our country and our affair. I don't tell Britain who to vote for.
Yes, this really is beyond the pale. I believe the best way to respond to this sort of nonsense would be some letters to the editor of the newspapers covering Clark County from Clark County residents. Clark County is Springfield, OH. Is there anyone on this board from that area? It would be the Springfield paper, the Columbus Dispatch, and the Dayton paper, I would imagine. I would think this type of interference would irritate even the wishy-washy undecided voters against Kerry.
I don't think they need to be valid... Or use a valid address: if you use a common name, at a big ISP, someone will get the email, probably assume it is spam, and discard it...
As a registered voter who doesn't live in Ohio, I nonetheless am angered by this trespass against privacy. This just confirms my decision in getting a PO box for snailmail.
Thank you for the idea, Free2BeMe. I've a few email accts that I haven't put to good use lately. Let's hope this little stunt backfires on them.
Dear Theophobic Euroweenies... (am I channeling you?)
You can always say that you are using the same reply that Cheney gave to Leahy. ;)
Is Kerry going to repudiate and officially demand his supporters to reject foreign interference into US election? I bet he won't.
"If you're feeling brave, though, you might want to explore the highly influential talk-radio airwaves. On the right, the overarchingly dominant figure is Rush Limbaugh, heard on hundreds of stations nationwide, including 19 in Ohio, some of which can be heard in Clark County. This is a strictly at-your-own-risk proposition, but if you want to join the debate, listen to the show live on the web at www.rushlimbaugh.com, between 5pm and 8pm UK time every weekday, and call in on 001 800 282 2882. Among yesterday's topics: why John Kerry doesn't understand the significance of 9/11; why John Kerry would be dangerous for America; how John Kerry politicised the death of Christopher Reeve. "
I think it would be fun if these foreign activists for Kerry would call Rush Limbaugh's show! LOL
We love you guys...
But this election is our gig...
Have nice day..
Good start, but now you must weave a litany of obscentity, profanity and vulgarity so ornate, so textured and intricately profound, that even sailors blush and Goodfellas cover their ears.
Then you will approach the content I have in mind. ;O)
Obscentity? WTF?
Ach!
I meant obscenity.
I just got several and I am mailing them to the people whose addresses the Guardian sent me, explaining what is going on. I might be overreacting, but I am so enraged at this brutal assault on our sovereignty. I also started an email thread to friends, family, and members of my local Young Republicans group instructing to go to the site to get addresses. I'm PISSED OFF!
I'd have to turn my 'TV-G' device off!!
You actually got some letters from people in the UK telling you to vote for Kerry?
You should post one of the, so people here can have some fun taking them apart.
And you should send a copy to the RNC, the Bush Campaign and Hannity, Rush, O'Reilly -- very seriously, it's important they they get copies of the actual letters, and the article which precipitated them, of course.
This outrageous attemp at trying to interfere with our elections needs to be publicized.
Sorry, I was unclear. I just received several emails from the Guardian with Ohio voter's addresses. I am sending the folks in OHIO a copy of the email the Guardian sent me explaining how this fradulent scam works.
My letter to Ohio victims...
I am writing to inform you that your personal information is being given out by a British Newspaper, the Guardian Unlimited, to the British and European people so that they can try to influence you to vote for Kerry in the election. I have included a copy of the article with the web address at the bottom of the page so you can check it out for yourself. This British Campaigning is targeting Clark County, Ohio voters. Be aware that this newspaper is connected to George Soros. It is a member of Project Syndicate which was founded by George Soros.
