I would agree that it is getting better but the question was whether it was LESS. It is and I see the salaries between the two regularly so no one will be able to convince me otherwise.
I also am in the IT area at a company that was a leader in advancing women.

Baloney. It's been the opposite where I've worked, because there are fewer women in this field and the companies still have to meet their (supposedly non-existent) quotas.
