I don't get it . . . wouldn't folks like you simply insist that stockers at Wal-Mart get paid $70k per year?

When all of the middle-class American jobs are exported to communist China or India or Mexico I would hope that the only remaining jobs would pay for an American middle-class lifestyle, yes.

What is the "free trade" plan?

Serfdom?

Communist slavery as in Red China??

A bridge over every Americans head and roadkill in every pot??

Are you even remotely aware that you appear on a thread about two students who essentialy created the Web's premier search-engine on a shoestring budget in their dorm room? Think of all the high-paying jobs at Lycos, Infoseek, AltaVista, et al., that were lost!

the elites want a two tiered socio-economic structure here - the wealthy and well connected with jobs in protected industries with high incomes, middle class people who are mostly government employees, and low paid service jobs and government handouts for everytone else.

what most of the "free trade" people do not understand - is that that socio-economic structure is a formula for a permanent Democratic majority in the US. The private sector middle class is the life blood of the Republican party; drive those people down the wage scale, or into government jobs or jobs funded by government spending (health care) - and they will vote Dem.

You're not radical enough in your approach. May I suggest using a successful tactic called hyperbole. It's a strategy where one uses fairly extreme rhetoric to enhance their talking points. You should try it; you're too mellow.
