Debate Talking points
Rhetorica

Here'e a talking point for the office debates tomorrow. Go to a transcript of the debate and count the # of times Kerry uses "I" in his closing statement--17 times in 2 minutes.
Now Bush--6 (7 if you count one time in the story about the painting where "I" referred to the artist).
Language is important (despite what Kerry says about "talking" wrong about the war in Iraq). Judging by their words, which candidate do you think is out for himself and which is more interested in the American people?

Problematic:
Kerry sounded like he was talking from experience. It was personal. "I think if you talk to anybody, it's not choice. I've met people who struggled with this for years, people who were in a marriage because they were living a sort of convention, and they struggled with it.
And I've met wives who are supportive of their husbands or vice versa when they finally sort of broke out and allowed themselves to live who they were, who they felt God had made them.
Then, Dead Mama, was his biggest influence on the spouse question???? Wow...talk about disrespect when your wife is sitting there.
