Clinton claimed he had surplusses, but according to the Bureau of the Public Debt the national debt never decreased (year-to-year) during his term in office.
The only surplus was in FICA collections.
Has anyone mentioned the smear job NBC did on Bush after the debates? They showed an old clip of Bush saying he didn't care about Osama bin Ladin, but then cut it off without showing the rest of his sentence. I almost threw my shoe at the TV because that was so blatently biased. They didn't treat Kerry that way.
