"... I would have fired all my male employees & hired women."Want to save money on your payroll? Hire middle-aged single guys, 35-55 years old, men who have a good work history that checks out. No paid maternity leave, no getting married and moving with hubby to a new place and new job for him, no sexual harassment suits, no monthly "sick" call-ins, no excuses about being late because I had to drop my children off at daycare/school/etc, no crying when they hear constuctive criticism from the boss or get a less-than-stellar job evaluation, and on and on.
Oops! I forgot that it's now illegal to pick your own employees. Never mind.

You're criteria would largely apply to women in that category. Women who haven't married/had kids by that age aren't going to.
I'm not trying to contrarian, statistics are statistics.

Whoa. I am a married mom with 3 kids and I have never missed work because of my period, never been late because of my kids being sick or having no child care, ask for constructive criticism, and work my ass off. I make more money than my husband, and should I choose to get promoted, he will move with me. Many women choose to miss out on their most productive working years in order to have children and raise them, and that is why they make less money. Fair enough. But your comments sound an awful lot like reflexive chauvinism.
