I don't see these Saudi ads doing squat. Only the most frenzied nutball MichaelMorron would believe that crap. And, interestingly, the Saudi GOVERNMENT has been running a LOT of ads here about what friends it is to the U.S. and how the 9/11 commission cleared them of wrongdoing. Bush isn't mentioned, but I think those pretty well offset the goofball ads.

Bush has a terrific ad with a female OBGYN (or, if you're that fool Kerry, OGBYN), who says that lawsuits are driving her out of business.

On the other side of the coin, I'd say that the NEA ads---which say NOTHING about education, but focus entirely on jobs---are pretty damn effective. They have regular sounding guys talking about how the economy is in trouble, Ohio losing jobs, blah, blah. But like I say, the OBGYN ad pretty well counters that with a different group.

Have you seen the ad with the guy in the hard hat? The ad slams Halliburton. It is totally lame, but might be effective for the blue-collar folks who aren't paying a lot of attention.
