I think Bush will do fine, because the expectations are reversed from the first debate. They say this is Kerry's home turf, but only if your home turf is liberal, tax and spend indecisiveness.

Of course, no matter how Bush does, it will be portrayed as a Kerry win or a tie, and the number of people watching will probably be small.

I tried that for debate #2 and almost had a stroke.

Do both. I had a blast with the FReepers and muting the tv.

Does anyone know what the word is for the drinking game this debate?

It'll become so slow that it's not worth it. Good luck anyway. If Kerry does manage to win, I'm moving to your fantastic state. There's no way I'll stay around NY and DC. What's the weather like down there tonight?

I can't watch as my cable TV is out, but I don't watch the whole debate anyway. For some reason, my remote clicks off when Kerry comes on! 'Sides, it's much more fun to be on the live threads.

I'll be down to my local pub watching the playoff games. If I get back early enough, I'll log on and read the threads.

We've decided to just have a couple of drinks, turn off the tv, and declare Kerry the winner in advance of its starting. This way we can be just like the media and in "tune" with the rest of America.

That sounds like a good idea. My jaws tight and my feet are sweating, I don't think I can handle watching.

I made that mistake with the first debate. I have been on FR for about two years and have never read such a depressing pathetic thread.

It was filled with newbies, trolls and plants. It was a coordinated effort to demoralize and persuade.

The second debate I watched the whole debate instead of following it on-line. I can trust my own impressions. It was worth the torture of sitting through Kerry to see for myself what was going on.

I don't think I'm watching either. I would rather read what you guys have to say. I'm also very nervous. I'm praying for our president. Let Bush keep his foot on Kerry's throat all night!

Have you tried listening to the debates on the radio? I find it far more pleasant than watching it on TV.

I have to watch the replay. I work till 7pm and I am in Arizona just about 5 miles to the east of The Gammage where the debate is being held. So that means I won't get home till probably 8-830. Glad Cspan reruns them sans the talking heads.
