I think you're being reasonable, Cableguy. The thing is, people like you and I have been following this the whole time. I think if you put yourselves in the shoes of an average voter, who perhaps haven't heard much about the vets aside from what they hear on the MSM, and who may not have seen the other commercials, this is going to be a great "reintroduction."

These are going to be shown on Monday Night Football---a great new audience.

I think you broke the code. There are millions of people out there who have been told by our friends in the media that "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" consists of a couple of Texas fat cats bankrolling a mysterious PR firm.

The Admiral felt that people ought to know who was behind all this... that it isn't just a half-dozen pissed-off guys with an ax to grind.

Do these guys look like "Republican liars?" Do they look like "people with the ethics of pond scum?" This is what people have been hearing about these guys in the media. Now they can see with their own eyes who the "Swift Vets and POWs for Truth" really are.

Quite an impressive bunch, I'd say. What's Kerry going to do, call Medal of Honor winner Bud Day a "liar?" He wouldn't dare.
