My Father was a Gunner's Mate on the Midway in 65 and 66. He volunteered for riverboat patrol duty, even though he could have stayed on the ship-- and went up the river many times and saw a lot of action. He told me some sad and amazing stories of his experiences, but NOTHING that could be construed as less than valiant, brave and right.

My dad passed away in 1999, mercifully before the idea of a Kerry presidency ever became a possibility-- it would have really pissed him off.

So, I donated $100 for my dad, because I know it's what he would have done.

Take Kerry down, Swifties-- FOR MY DAD!
