I underwent a seven way bypass in February of this year and I'm still recovering. I too suffered from the effects of the heart/lung machine. Looney tunes big time.
I was convinced that everone in the hospital was trying to do me in. This lasted for about two weeks.
After that I was kinda slow witted for a couple of months. Everthing seems ok now but I don't think I'm quite back to where I was before surgery.
I did decide one thing as a result of the heart incident. I'm not putting of my life-long dream of sailing the world. Since the surgery and recovery, I commmitted and bought a 53' fast crossing aluminum cutter and I'm getting it ready to sail away. (If Kerry gets elected, God forbid, ou will all envy me.)
