I had bypass surgery in 1988. Two weeks, to the day, after my surgery I was in the attic running the wires for and installing a ceiling fan. The very next day I took my boat out to go fishing.....that included hooking up the trailer, launching the boat, operating the boat, releasing and retrieving the anchor, catching fish and getting the boat back on the trailer, driving home, cleaning the boat and cleaning the fish.
Methinks that there are many pseudo-medical-experts on this thread.
I think that there are lots of different outcomes. Some, like you, do exceedingly well. But some don't. Being on the heart lung machine can be hard on the brain, it makes the surgery much worse. And some die having a bypass, my father died post op minutes after a triple bypass. There are alot of experts on this thread.
