Even though it's a fairly common procedure, it's still very major surgery, and some patients are never the same again. It's like the surgery "ages" them 10 years or so. There's no rhyme or reason to it. Others look 10 years younger six months after the operation. I suspect that Clinton will be one of those who isn't the same...

My Father had esophogael surgery, which has the split of the chest, PLUS an incision from the back.

He was a tough guy. Okinawa landing with Purple Heart.

His surgery knocked him down hard. He didn't complain, but clearly remarked he hadn't expected it to be such a total blow.

My wife is having a major surgery soon, and I listened to her doctor explain that if you do too much, too soon, the body has a way of slowing you down.

It could be so, for Clinton.
