I believe Billy-Jeff's recovery is predicated on what Shillary's plans are for 2008. Although it will just kill him to sit out of the spotlight during this campaign season - it just wouldn't do to have him help out Lurch with his endeavors now would it.

He might be physically OK, but people often show mental problems after open heart surgery, whther from blood clots or from the various medications. He might not be sharp enough to be seen in public.

WE'd better hope he doesn't snuff it before the election.

Think about that, people.

Pray for Slick Willy to recover.

We need Bubba in case Hitlery needs help pulling the October Surprise to torpedo the Poodle. Get well Bill!

What would bed irronic is if he suddenly suffered a massive stroke that caused the loss of movement of his extremeties along with the ability to speak.

Then Hillary Placed him in a Nursing home owned by Juanita Broadrick!

is this a part of Hitlery's Secret Plan?

I hope we dont see something looking like that Wellstone (or whatever his name was) funeral that turned into a Bush-bashing Hatefest Melee. I honestly would not put it past her....

Personally I dont wish him dead, just keep his mouth shut & stop bashing Bush.

I know a 70 year old man who had the quadruple one week before Clintoon. He's been up around and attending rallies for weeks now.

I don't believe it. He will use his slow recovery as the reason for not helping kerry get elected.

Clintoon is about as low as they get and I had a mix of feelings hearing he's not doing well. I may puke at the site of him but he should be doing well after that surgery and I pray he is.

If he's talking on the phone for several hours a day, he's
not in that bad a shape. Probably takes the normal issue of pain pills that are given following open heart surgery.
It is painful!! And remember, Clinton loved his cigars.
Doctors will tell you, anyone who smokes (or had smoked
for years before giving it up)has a mucher tougher time
recuping. If you have any kind of congestion in the
lungs (from the tobacco) or even a slight post nasal drip,
you're really in trouble (agony's a better word!) when you
have to cough up phlegm! First hand experience here.

I hope he does alright. Anything Clinton will ultimately be used as political fodder, especially around election time. I wouldn't wish a "Wellstone Memorial" on anyone.

Too bad. I really feel sorry for the guy. After all, if it was any one of us, our wives/husbands would be tending to our needs to help us through this difficult time. Does anyone really think that Slick has such care?

Anyone?

I want Clinton to live long enough to see history render an honest verdict on his legacy (which will probably cause him to drop dead in apoplexy).

Most likely Bill spinning yesterday's news:

SANTA FE, N.M. - President Clinton (news - web sites) can't put his recovering heart into John Kerry (news - web sites)'s election effort out on the campaign trail, but he is using his voice to help in the final weeks of the race.

Clinton regularly phones Kerry and his aides to offer advice, and he plans to tape a phone message that will be sent into voters' homes. Campaign officials say it's likely he'll also record radio advertisements, but his slow recovery from heart surgery is making it questionable whether he'll be able to do any physical campaigning.

Democrats who have spoken to Clinton say he is eager to get more involved, but his doctors and his wife are not sure he is strong enough to travel five weeks after he underwent quadruple bypass surgery.

One senior Democratic official who recently saw Clinton said the former president looked wan and reported that his recovery had been harder than he had expected. But Clinton told the official to begin planning a couple of events for the final days of the campaign.

Another Democrat who has talked to Clinton said that may be wishful thinking, and it's unclear whether there will be any appearances.

Clinton spokesman Jim Kennedy said there have been no decisions about whether he'll be able to campaign.
