Sinclair: Kerry Enemies List 'Just Astounding'

Reacting to a threat from a Kerry campaign official who was unhappy about Sinclair Broadcasting's decision to broadcast a documentary about John Kerry's anti-Vietnam War protests, Sinclair spokesman Mark Hyman said Tuesday that he was "astounded" to learn that the Kerry campaign was keeping a media "enemies" list.

"To imply that they might use something such as the independent regulatory process of the FCC to exact revenge against media organizations that they find to be enemies or not supportive of their cause is just astounding," Hyman told Fox News Channel's "Special Report with Brit Hume."

Earlier in the day, campaign spokesman Chad Clanton had warned, "Listen - they better look out there at Sinclair Broadcasting . . They've stirred up a lot of hatred . . . I think they're going to regret doing this. They better hope we don't win."

Hyman said Clanton's words "certainly sounded like a threat," and that was cause for widespread concern.

"It's something that should cause concern for every media organization in the country - if this is going to be a precedent for this campaign or any other campaign should they win," the Sinclair spokesman told Fox.

One thing remains constant in the Kerry campaign and that is the abuse of the First Amendment. It is alright for Michael Moore, Dan Rather & CBS, Katie Couric, MoveOn.org, A.N.S.W.E.R. and a host of other Bush bashing organizations and people to speak out. But not people who are for Bush or conservative. Marxism is alive and well in this most liberal John Kerry, Ted Kennedy’s puppet. John Edwards is just a heart beat away from the presidency should John KerryKennedy win this election.

I thank heavens that the Swift Boat Vets had the courage to come forward (they would not have, had Kerry not decided to run for POTUS) and now a conservative group that happens to own some television studios have decided enough is enough. Sinclair is lending their voice to an overwhelmed populace of left propaganda and bias to tell some truths and facts. The conservatives were never to show their head or voices to the socialist left in this country.

The new Media is here to stay - the Dan Rathers and Brokaws, Jennings and their parent companies can only blame themselves - they have dominated the country with their one sided reporting far too long! Yea! Sinclair! and thank you Chad Clanton for bursting the bubble that has long been a noose around America's collective necks.

I was referring to the parody of Kerry that Karl wrote as a joke following the first debate, and sent out as an inner office memo, but that got posted to the FOX web site as a real report. It wasn't Karl's fault that the web person had no sense of humor.
