Morning Donna. I'm confused (normal for me) as to what North Carolina has to do with the Wisconsin story. If you can fill me in I would appreciate it.

But, as far as aliens in N.C. I do know that the Mexican population has boomed in the last 10+ years. Twenty years ago you rarely saw Mexicans, heard Spanish spoken or saw Mexican food items in the grocery. Now it's everywhere.

Arkansas is the same way. We had a friend who helped take the census in one NW county in 1990. He said at that time there was one Hispanic family in the whole county. In the last 5-10 years Tyson Chicken has brought in people to work in their plant. Now there are whole neighborhoods of primarily Mexican Hispanics with Spanish-speaking churches and grocery stores.

My question about North Carolina was not directly related to the Wisconsin story per se.

It was related to bored at work's comment about knowing and being able to discuss illegal aliens with the illegal aliens at work.

I have been working on and off a NY / North Carolina project for a few years now and there are links between NY and NC regarding Mexicans and maybe non-Mexicans. I am trying to find out why so many Mexicans (and maybe non-Mexicans) are coming to NY via NC and retaining their NC license plates for months and years. Something is up and in the least it is illegal immigration.

In the least, I am curious.
