If we all ignore the P&G issue, before you know it employers will be required to train it, schools will require it and anyone not accepting it will be considered as obstructing it. No more Tide, Sure or Downey in this house ever again. There are alternatives, and I don't mean lifestyles.
Actually, in CA, grades K-12, pro-"gay" cirricula has (have?) been mandatory since 2001. People who think that "their" school is fine are in denial.
