To: British chick

Yes, I suspect he's been on life-support for a couple of weeks while they sorted out his affairs. There have been rumours there about a power struggle so we wait to see how it pans out. Also his memorial service is likely to be attended by quite a few world leaders, which poses some interesting security issues.

Meantime, breaking news from the US: I just heard a rumour that there's an election there today. How did they manage to keep that quiet?

Anyhow, how long will you be staying up for overnight to watch the results? No shortage of news stations to watch on Sky Digital, although it would be nice to have feeds of the domestic US networks to accompany Fox and CNNi.

My result prediction: well I've narrowed it down to two names so far. What's your prediction?

Have been watching the coverage on Fox news. I might switch over to the BBC to have a laugh at John Snow.

It's really too close to call. I had a gut feeling Bush will win, but, (and I'll be waiting for a deluge of abusive freepmail after this!) Kerry could easily take it too.
