Yes! I wonder if the authenticating protocol came out of that as a way of diffusing panic. They knew a tape would come at some point, a hot potato that could inflame the public. They had to plan a response of some sort. As long as the tape is spun as questionable (even if it isn't one bit) then the panic can be quelled.

Thank you, that is very interesting. I remember back in 2001 after 911 they said OBL was in the safest place in the world. I immediately assumed he was hiding between Hillary's butt cheeks (don't know how safe that is, but I do know we would never find him). Yes, you are right. There are other messages predating that one from 12/03. I don't recall if the others also were from daleel or even eom. There are a few of us trying to hunt the other messages down..
