There seems to have been almost a universal 1-3 pt drop for Bush in tracking polls coming out today. Is it due to polling over a 3 day weekend or the Christopher Reeves death, I wonder.
If it is the C. Reeves thing then that means people are so shallow that they consider this more important than Kerry's "nusiance" remark. Sad.
Hopefully it's just the 3 day weekend polling.
And the MSM continues to misinform the american people on stem cells. Just this morning I cringed when Katy Couric said something like: "How has the Federal ban on embryonic stem cell research..." etc.
Folks, this is a myth. There is NO FEDERAL BAN on embryonic stem cell research. Private industry can kill human eggs all day long and research their hearts out. There are restrictions on which lines can be researched using FEDERAL funds. No cure is going to be delayed even 2 days because of this restriction, if embrionic stem cells are such a panacea private industry will step in and do the job. If they are not going to lead to a cure, private industry is in the best position to allocate their research dollars based on the best possible information, not political grandstanding.
