It was an awesome debate. Haven't seen the usual media analysis of "Who won, who lost" because the answer is too clear and too painful for them to answer.

The moderator was rooting for Obama and Keyes was incredibly disciplined and focused in the debate.

You knew what side the moderator was on. It was the most unprofessional conduct I've ever seen from someone in the media. He let it be known he was on Obama's side.

All around, I think it's straight pluses for Keyes. It'll depend on who was listening as to what the impact was, but I eagerly await debate #2 and #3. I think things will be looking for Keyes and we'll have to see what happens the next few weeks.

I listened to the debate on the internet. Alan was great, as usual. I can't wait for the next debates. I wonder if Obama will stick to his Kerry talking points or be a little more creative.

Obama is a lightweight, second-rate, extreme left state senator.

Conversely, Alan Keyes is a seasoned statesman; and that difference became clear to anyone who listened tonight with an honest ear.

An extremely biased and irresponsible media and a corrupt political class in Illinois.

It is those two things that have led to the good people of Illinois being deceived so.

If we can shine the light of truth on who these two men actually are, we can still win.

By the way, Ambassador Keyes' strong and cogent defense of President Bush's foreign policy and the War on Terror was as brilliant as any I have heard come from anyone, inside or outside of the administration.

My thoughts were that Bush could probably take a few pointers from Alan when he debates Kerry next time.
