"Bunch of geezers that think they're entitled to my income."
Sorry but I cannot let that pass unchallenged.
Geezers as a rule are not trying to lay claim on your income, but merely interested in getting their own. THey did pay into the system in hard dollars backed up by gold, and are being paid back in monoply money, backed up by political promises.
Those dollars that were deducted by the government from geezers salaries, without permission from the geezers themselves, for all their working years, had amazing purchasing power. A dollar could buy any of the following: 3 lbs of hamburger, ten loaves of bread, 4 gallons of gas, 4 Cuban cigars,4 gallons of milk, a trip to the movies for a family of four, 20 double dip ice cream cones, 20 colas, etc., etc.
When geezers sent their kids to school, they bought their text books, work books, paper, pencils, scisors, pens, and everything else that kids required in class, except for chalk for the blackboard. They furnished a brown bag lunch or paid for their children's lunches at school. Tax-payers cover all those expenses for todays families and many tax payers are geezers.
Everybody gets screwed-nobody gets a kiss.
