Here in Colorado we have a referendum of dubious constitutionality to proportionally split the electoral vote, ex post facto, after Presidential votes are cast.
That would make a tie, interesting.

...a referendum of dubious constitutionality..." From what I know of the Constitution as it applies to the Electoral College, the referendum is very legal, Constitutionally speaking as it allows for individual states to determine how the electors are distributed amongst the candidates.
