Fox Lead Story: Massive Voter Registration Irregularities Across Country
Fox News Cahnnel | 10/12/04

Posted on 10/12/2004 3:22:07 PM PDT by pabianice

Lead story at 6:00PM ET -- massive voter registration irregularities and problems nationwide. Story went by quickly so wasn't ready for thye details. Tens of thousands of voters in many states (including FL) say their registrations have been lost or misregistered. Some registered in March and April and have never received their confirmation cards. In PA, absentee ballots were hosed -- some list Nader, some don't. May all have to be canceled, new ballots printed, remailed, and wait for them to come in. Many other problems in many states. Heard that in one county, there are more people registered to vote than total of people in county. Perhaps other Freepers caught additional details.

NO JOKE !!! FOX News just caught on? This has been going on for almost a year. There's not much that can be done about it now. The Dims have millions of newly registered voters; many are illegal. They have every intention of stealing this election.

I'd settle for insisting on photo IDs at polling places and in order to get absentee ballots. The latter would be a challenge but not unworkable. You can bet that vote fraud would be down in the noise just from taking this one step.

Longer term, the whole notion of guaranteed suffrage needs to be questioned. The Founding Fathers did not promote it, only later were restrictions on who could vote substantially lessened. Women's suffrage and suffrage for all races, no issue. But I really wonder - did we do ourselves a favor by removing *other* requirements voters had to meet? If you have a to take a test to become a naturalized citizen, I say, make people pass a test in order to vote, for example.

Peanut the Dictator Enabler is already ready to call the US elections a "fraud".

Unless, ofcourse, Kerry wins. Then it all fair and square.

So what do we do to make it so? I know the techical answer, but operationally and strategically, how shall we MAKE THIS HAPPEN!? The fate of the Republic rests on our ability to MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

[Folks, I sincerely hope that this thread is the birth of a new Constitutional Ammendment]

Yeah. I sort of can see it coming. They aren't going down without all the dirty tricks in their playbook. Let's see . . . what could it be hmmmm.m.m.. Kerry/Edwards . . .
Kerry/Edwards. . . Sore/Loserman . . . . hmm. . . along those lines?

Any questions?

Actually, yes.

The franchise has certainly never been universal, and I didn't mean to imply that it had been. A test at the polls, how interesting. Would you require this test to be taken over and over again, at every election, or would once per lifetime be enough? Who would write the test? Who would administer it? Most importantly, who would grade it? Perhaps we should institute literacy tests at the polls as well. Oh, silly me, we had those. We called it Jim Crow.

If the amount of taxes you pay is less than the total amount of money you receive from the government, then you don't vote. Period.

I went to college on an Army scholarship because I wanted to serve my country and my family couldn't afford to send me to college. I was commissioned in the Army as a second lieutenant of infantry and served five years on active duty. I got out of the Army and went to work in the private sector but found the work utterly unsatisfying. So, I chose to go back into government service (and yes, I do consider it government service). So, technically, I've been "suckling at the teat of government" for most of my adult life. Should I then be disenfranchised? Would you have our military, the very defenders of the freedoms we hold dear, not allowed to vote?

No thank you, my FRiend. I don't want to live in that America.

Won't happen.

Anyone taking this position publicly would provide enough demagogue fuel to power Jesse Jackson and his ilk into the next century, if not longer.

However, the issue of showing identification when voting shouldn't be an issue.

After all, reasonable people do it every day when they cash checks, apply for any of several utility services, or purchase firearms.

(Althought the idea of the Ad Council coming up with an ad campaign for buses and subways "IF YOU"RE STUPID, DON'T VOTE ON NOVEMBER 3RD!" *does* appeal to me.)

I saw it. Massive attempt at RAT voter fraud. No way that hundreds of thousands of legitimate voters would appear like magic. That's not normal behavior.

Well, all week long Fox has been parroting the MSM lie that GW lost the second debate. That's a mite upsetting.

I read almost 1 million new voters in Ohio. Maybe I have a difficult time grasping numbers but that sounds perposterous.

Here in Louisiana the democrats are registering prisoners who haven't yet been convicted.

We're pretty safe here though because new registrants are two to one Republicans.

I don't disagree with that, but I have heard FReepers here say that FOX is no different now than CNN, ABC, NBC, etc. That's a joke.
