Actually Jesus said Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit was smearing, slandering or attributing evil to the Holy Spirit. Which is what the Pharisees had done which Jesus was addressing.
I do agree that only those who reject Christ as Saviour are capable of Blasphemy against the HS.
Did he say "read my lips" and close with "so help me God"?
Please! The idea that by saying anything bad about Benny Hinn we are committing the "unforgivable sin", is absurd.
Benny Hinn himself actually had to go back and change parts of his book that he later believed were mistakes..and these were thing Benny Hinn claimed the Holy Spirit revealed to him personally.
Guess this means Benny Hinn has commited the unforgivable sin? Lying about the Holy Spirit?
A psychiatrist IS an MD. He still had to go to med school.
This is more creepy now that you two mentioned the "book"!
PLEASE TELL ME THAT ONE OF YOU
remember this occurence during the Democrat National Convention. It may have only been on the radio broadcast, which I was listening to on the way home from work.
During one of those long applause lines, the reporter said that he had been watching a man in a wheelchair in the front row for the entire night. And to the reporter's amazement - Kerry's words were so amazing - and healing - that the man jumped out of his wheelchair, apparently cured.
It was the most obscene insinuation I have ever heard in a political context.
Until today.
hey, you started it! :o
LOL little ole me?
goodnight!
I was on medication from several car accidents for over seven years. I had muscle and nerve damage requiring the meds. I wanted off of the meds badly, as they had side effects. I prayed for years, and was told I would get off of them. It was three yrs ago, I felt I was supposed to go to one of his meetings, and I hesitated...like a lot of people when God wants obedience.
I went to his Shreveport, LA meeting, and although I did not go forward...I knew it was obedience God was wanting NOT for me to be seen necessarily. It was within six months of coming home that I was well enough to go off the meds. I taught a class that fall. My prayers were answered.
Many people are skeptical if God doesn't do exactly what they want in a healing, or if it isn't a "instant miracle" or a "complete healing", but other healings are just as miraculous and tied to a person's obedience. For example, the man who was healed of leprosy by dipping in Jordan when told by prophet to do so, although at first he was angry and wanted to know WHY that river...but when he did obey he was healed. Even a half a loaf is better than none, and if one continues in faith, the rest comes.
Did you know that Benny Hinn stuttered up until he stepped into the pulpit for his first ministry message? God promised him healing, but until he stepped out on that stage in obedience..it did not come. What if he hadn't taken that step of faith so many years ago, so many would not be healed today, his ministry may not exist; and he may still have not been healed.
You are a charleton. It is easy to call someone any name if you don't know them.
Oh I agree with you on that one. I just thought it inappropriate for them to throw Benny Hinn into the mix, considering he is a legitimate conservative minister, who has an unusual healing ministry but so did Kathryn Kuhlman in 40,s-60's. There are charletons on TV but he is genuine, just unusual.. but then God is not your everday person either...LOL
Benny Hinn is a genuine christian who operates in gifts of the Holy Spirit. NO he isn't perfect, but neither are we.
The Bible says "Touch not God's anointed"...that's clear enough. The anointing is there for healing from God in his ministry. When someone is favored by God for a particular ministry, it does not mean they will be perfect in it...but they are God's chosen for that anointing. God is their covering.
Thank you, your answer is far better expressed than mine was.
~ Edwards: 'When John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk. ~
You know, when I was a young boy growing up in rural Mississippi, our preacher did quite a few sermons from the Book Of Revelations. He talked of the anti-Christ that would come to power and would say so many things that the people wanted to hear and believe in. He would "seem" to have all the answers. The Bible also says "Beware of false prophets". Keep a close eye out y'all.
You are a charleton.
keeping in mind that most lawyers don't channel as successfully as Edwards ... I'm going to assume they file and pay taxes on their fees from personal injury cases, too. Tho, I understand Edwards set up a sham shelter to protect most of his earnings from withholdings such as FICA/Medicare, etc.
Usually, from any judgment, if 1/3 goes to the lawyers, an equal amount goes to the medical providers or the injured person's insurance company that paid the medical bills, and the remaining third to the injured party. Assuming they all pay taxes, the ultimate big winner in these cases is Uncle Sam.
