Christopher Reeves is off liimitis for use as a political football by either republicans or dems.

On what grounds?

I disagree completely. Reeve put himself into the pollitical arena and used his disability to raise awareness to soaring heights about it, in the social and political and entertainment worlds.

Being dead seldom exonerates anyone from praise or blame. We are known by our deeds whether they are good or not good. Our reputation follows us past the grave.

BTW, it was kerry who injected the name of Chris Reeve into the debate. People following up on that can not be faulted when the issue is now kerry's lie-a-bility, or *cough* veracity.

"On what grounds? "

On the grounds that even if you are correct, bringing up the issue will lose more votes for Bush just because it appears ghoulish, and will turn off swing voters. After Reagan died even the usually rabid Reagan hating Dems. knew enough to keep their mouths shut. Seems like an unspoken universal rule in politics to let people rest in peace.
