The thing is, if we don't win the war on terror, do the social issues mean a damn thing?

The answer is no.

William F. Buckley favored the legalization of drugs - I disagree with that. Should he have been booted out of the movement for it? I personally do not care for most of the culture war - I'd rather the government butted out of such things. Do I deserve the boot?

Frum does have it right on a number of issues - particularly the big issue of our time, the war against terrorism. Those who would, in a fit of ideological purity, drive people out of the conservative movement, only help the left in my opinion.

That seems to be the point of EC's postings..I've already fought this war.....Think about Kerry in charge of this country's security.

There are certain issues, 2nd Amendment rights especially that are vastly more important than the WOT.
