The thing about this war is nobody was drafted. It is not comparable to Viet Nam at all. I would like to know what perks these deserters got. Free college education maybe? That's my guess, they joined for the free education and got it, but are unwilling to hold up their end of the bargain. Should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The thing about Canada is that nobody was drafted in WW1 until 1917, or in WW2 until 1944.
That's a lot of volunteers who didn't shirk their duty, including many brave American lads that came up and joined with us prior to America getting involved.
