Not constitutional to make sales tax deductable in some states and not in others - per the Equal Protection clause.

Hugh? I hope it's hugh enough to include those states that DO have an income tax. How will you be able to take the deduction? Will you have to save every single receipt?

Yikes, that's going to be a nightmare to calculate every year. Think of all the dinky little receipts from Walgreen's and such you have to save.

My question exactly! How do I account for the deduction?

Equal Protection clauseYeah. I live in DC. We have a high income tax. City residents are compensated for this by paying high property taxes AND high sales taxes.

Not constitutional to make sales tax deductable in some states and not in others - per the Equal Protection clause. So extend the tax break to all states with a sales tax?

Yeah, it'll be a nightmare to keep up with. If receipts have to be saved I'm thinking a lot of people won't do it. I won't be one of 'em though. :-)

No problem, they'll do all the adding for you, they'll just require you to show your handy-dandy new National ID anytime you buy something.
He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a [card in their wallet], so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
